Welcome to The Ignored Board!

This community was founded in February 2007, after the founder discovered a few unpleasant things about online communities.

There are many, ranging from tiny ones with just a few members, to the large mainstream ones like MySpace and Faceparty. They were designed to bring people together.

Unfortunately there are people who get pushed out because they were made to feel like "outsiders". Either they didn't have the right "credentials" to join in, or they came into conflict with well-established, elitist cliques.

Some newbies to a community are verbally attacked by long-time members, just because they asked a question.

There are also many communities where the moderators are as abusive, if not more, as the members. Some of the worst offenders will lock conversations and ban people, for no reason other than a power trip.

Whatever the issue, there people who have a hard time gaining confidence in any online community.

This is where the Ignored Board comes in - the first online community in the world that provides a home for the ignored, criticised and otherwise socially-lacking. The goal of this community is to provide a safe environment for people to express themselves, free from bullying, attacking or unwarranted criticism.
